The Position: This position is one year temporary full-time ending July 2014. Reporting to the Manager Financial Accounting the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the corporate financial accounting systems and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information. Key responsibilities include:
o Keeping financial accounting software applications current
o Preparing accounting entries that range from complex to simple
o Preparing reconciliations to support financial accounting records
o Prepare monthly financial statements
o Assist in preparation for the year-end audit and annual report
o Preparing documentation to comply with regulatory requirements
o Support the budgeting and forecasting process
o Research on various issues ranging from financial to non financial
Qualifications: To qualify for this position applicants must have a certificate or diploma in Accounting or Administration; plus two years of job related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
